Business Visitors Visa

Business Visitor Visa

With the exception of those who are visa-exempt, all individuals planning to visit Canada, regardless of the nature of their intended activities, must obtain a visitor visa. This applies specifically to business visitors who are required to submit an application for a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) or visitor visa to enter Canada.

How to Apply for a Business Visitor Visa

There isn’t a specific visa tailored for business visitors to Canada. Business professionals are required to adhere to the standard application process for a visitor visa, also known as a TRV. During the application, they must explicitly state their entry into Canada for international business activities. At the port of entry, business visitors might need to provide evidence of their intended activities to the border services officer.

While some business visitors may be exempt from obtaining a visa due to their nationality, they might still need to secure an electronic travel authorization (eTA) if they arrive in Canada by air. It’s important to note that business visitors have the option to bring their family members along. However, each family member is obligated to complete their individual visitor visa application.

A business visitor visa to Canada allows a person to stay in the country for up to six months for business activities.
